Dominic Nunns has become increasingly in demand as a composer and orchestrator and this has in turn led him to research, compose and perform in a hugely varied range of musical styles.

Dominic was an assistant orchestrator to the late Michael Kamen for the George Harrison tribute Concert for George at London's Royal Albert Hall, working with a star-studded band including Eric Clapton amongst others.
He worked as an assistant orchestrator for the film The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (starring Sean Connery), working primarily on the densely scored action music on a soundtrack which received excellent reviews worldwide. He was a copyist on the 20th James Bond movie Die Another Day and managed all of the music preparation for the Smack the Pony comedy group's film Gladiatress in collaboration with composer James Brett.
Dominic also makes a screen appearance as an orchestral conductor on The Upside of Anger (starring Kevin Costner and Joan Allen).
In 2008 Dominic composed music for the BBC3 sketch show The Wrong Door. Much of the score is orchestral and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra was conducted for the recording sessions by the composer.

A recent major project for Dominic was a collaboration with the creators and musicians of STOMP. He worked as an arranger and performer with STOMP's latest award-winning production, the Lost and Found Orchestra, which was premiered in May 2006 (Brighton Festival, UK) before going on to break box office records at the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House as part of the Sydney Festival 2007. Future performances are being planned for London (2008-9) and Auckland (2009). (see here for reviews).

Dominic is the composer for the irreverent Channel 4 TV show Modern Toss. First broadcast during July and August of 2006, the first series was hailed by the Daily Telgraph as "...funnier and more original than anything on television." As well as composing, Dominic also arranges and produces music for the show which returned in 2008 for a second series. The music went centre stage for the Swing News sketches which were singled out by several reviewers.
Also in 2006 Dominic joined the team of the iTunes Music Store (USA) as one of the panel of experts responsible for compiling iTunes Essentials playlists.

Since 2004 Dominic has been working regularly for Silva Screen Records, transcribing and orchestrating film soundtracks for their highly successful series of recordings with the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.
In October 2006 Dominic worked on his first Bollywood soundtrack, Mehbooba, as an orchestrator. He collaborated with the well-known orchestrator Nic Raine on this project.
In 2004 Dominic joined the successful tribute band Brighton Beach Boys, working regularly with some of the UK south coast's most sought-after rock musicians. At the 2007 Brighton Festival the band won both an Angel Award and Best Music Event at the Latest Awards for their gig, Live! Pet Sounds vs. Sgt. Pepper, which was reported as "...making many music-lovers' wildest fantasies a reality."
In 2003 Dominic began working with the Life and Death Orchestra. The first stage of the project was the monumental task of transcribing the Songs for the Betrayed World (composed by Bill Smith/Bim Sinclair) from the original CD. The songs, based on the writings of Holocaust survivors, were described as "a masterpiece" by Metro and "epic and powerful" by the Jewish Telegraph. Dominic then orchestrated this extraordinary 70-minute work for a unique combination of instruments which maintained the original folk/rock flavour but also added the extra power and depth of the orchestra. The work involved extensive research of the musical styles required, especially klezmer.

In February 2004 Dominic conducted the orchestral première of Songs for the Betrayed World at Fairfield Halls, Croydon. This remarkable event brought together the Life and Death Orchestra with Croydon Youth Orchestra, the Brit School and the Croydon Centre for Talented Pianists. The event marked Holocaust Memorial Day on behalf of Croydon Council and was introduced by former MP Tony Benn. A further performance took place in the Brighton Festival 2007.
