"I can't imagine anyone (other than Mozart) doing it better"
Stanley Sadie - Musicologist, Mozart specialist and former Grove Dictionary Editor.

Dominic Nunns's realisation of Mozart's fragment of Horn Concerto in E Major (K494a, 1786) is a ground-breaking achievement. The project involved filling out the 91-bar incomplete work into a full first movement, expanding on what already existed. Originally a piece of university coursework finished when Dominic was only 19 years old, the realisation was considered an accurate enough projection of the composer's intentions to be published by Bärenreiter, Germany - the world's leading scholarly publishers of Mozart's work.
As well as being available to order from Bärenreiter, the E Major realisation is available from Sheet Music Plus (USA), and Paxmans (UK) and can be ordered from any music shop, worldwide.
You can listen to an extract from the piece here.

A notable live performance was given on Sunday 10th December, 2006 at Brighton Dome Concert Hall. The soloist was David Pyatt (pictured) with conductor Howard Shelley and the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra. One review said that "the Dome faithful were delighted to be part of a piece of history" (Worthing Herald).
Dominic Nunns also contributed cadenzas and editorial advice for Bärenreiter's 2004 editions of Mozart's other horn concertos. He was furthermore given the task of transcribing the cadenzas of the legendary Dennis Brain for these editions.
