As a conductor Dominic Nunns has worked with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra. He founded the Marylebone Chamber Orchestra and conducted what was thought to be the first ever Palestinian orchestral concert with the Ramallah Sinfonia at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music). Dominic conducted a studio orchestra for the GSCA-winning 3D film score Wild Ocean, and further awards for albums on which he has conducted include a Sammy Movie Music Award for Tadlow Music's El Cid and the 2010 Classical Brits Best Album Band of Brothers featuring Only Men Aloud (Decca/Universal).

Dominic began conductng whilst at Durham University where he was appointed conductor of, in turn, the Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra, each for one year. This culminated in a performance of Shostakovich's 10th Symphony in Durham Cathedral.
After graduating from Durham with a starred First, he then went to the Royal College of Music where he studied conducting with Neil Thomson and John Carewe. Subsequently he has received conducting tuition from Ivan Fischer and Paavo Järvi.
Upon moving to London Dominic founded and conducted the Marylebone Chamber Orchestra. This exciting young professional orchestra acquired a reputation for imaginative and polished performances during a series of concerts between 1998 and 2003. This led to 2 appearances on Channel 4 Television and a recording funded by Arts Council England.
Following an MCO concert the Ham and High newspaper described Dominic Nunns as "a conductor to watch out for".
Dominic taught for one year at the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music in Ramallah, Palestine; during that year he also freelanced in various orchestras in Israel. Dominic created and conducted the Ramallah Sinfonia (2000) in what was thought to be the first ever Palestinian orchestral concert. Teachers combined with the leading students to perform Mozart's Symphony No.27 in what was generally agreed to be a special occasion.
In 2008 Dominic made his debut conducting the City of
Prague Philharmonic Orchestra for recordings of his own music for The
Wrong Door and part of Miklos Rozsa's El Cid (for Tadlow
Music's Sammy Award-winning disc). He also conducted the score for Wild
Ocean 3D which went on to win Best Score at the GCSA awards.
2009 saw Dominic conducting 2 recording sessions withe BBC National Orchestra of Wales for the album Band of Brothers, featuring Only Men Aloud. This album went on to win the Classical Brits Best Album of 2010.
In 2010 Dominic toured with the National Symphony Orchestra as they accompanied Waterloo for the spectacular Abba-the-Show in a range of prestigious European venues including the o2 World, Berlin.
