Dominic Nunns's horn-playing in the UK includes work with the Royal Shakespeare Company, English National Ballet, New London Orchestra, in the West End and with chamber ensembles such as the Zephyr Ensemble of London. Internationally, Dominic has relished the opportunity to perform in 31 different countries across 5 continents at some of the world's most prestigious venues with organisations including New Israeli Opera and the Verbier Festival Orchestra.


 Solo performances include all of the major horn concerto repertoire (including his own realisation of Mozart's E Major fragment) and the Israeli and Palestinian premières of the virtuosic solo horn work Sea Eagle by Peter Maxwell Davies. Conductors Dominic has played under include Sir Colin Davis, James Levine, Lorin Maazel, Paavo Järvi, Mark Elder, Daniele Gatti, Asher Fisch and Paul Daniel.

 

Horn-calling in the Swiss Alps

Dominic currently plays horn with the award-winning tribute band Brighton Beach Boys and collaborates with leading neuroscientist Harry Witchel, providing musical examples for Harry's lectures at venues such as the Science Museum, the Royal Society and the Cheltenham Festival of Science.

In addition to arranging for the STOMP Lost and Found Orchestra, Dominic also performs with the group on hosepipe, traffic cone, rope marimba and musical saw. The show's performances include 3 weeks at London's Royal Festival Hall and 10 days at Sydney Opera House.
